ἐξῆλθεν οὖν ⸂οὗτος ὁ λόγος⸃ εἰς τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς ὅτι ὁ μαθητὴς ἐκεῖνος οὐκ ἀποθνῄσκει. ⸂οὐκ εἶπεν δὲ⸃ αὐτῷ ὁ Ἰησοῦς ὅτι οὐκ ἀποθνῄσκει ἀλλ’· Ἐὰν αὐτὸν θέλω μένειν ἕως ἔρχομαι, τί πρὸς σέ;
English Translation
Therefore, this saying went out among the brothers that that disciple does not die. Jesus did not say to him that he does not die, but, "If I want him to remain until I come, what is that to you?"

This saying therefore went forth among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Yashua (Jesus) said not unto him, that he should not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what [is that] to thee?

So this saying went about among the brothers that this disciple would not undergo death: Yashua (Jesus), however, did not say that he would not undergo death, but, If it is my desire for him to be here till I come back, what is that to you?

This word therefore went out among the brethren, That disciple does not die. And Yashua (Jesus) did not say to him, He does not die; but, If I will that he abide until I come, what [is that] to thee?

This saying therefore went abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die. And Yashua (Jesus) did not say to him: He should not die; but, So I will have him to remain till I come, what is it to thee?

Yashua (Jesus) did many other things as well, and if it all was written down, I doubt the whole world could hold all the books that would be written.
