King James Version
Luke • Chapter 17
1
And he said to his disciples, "It is inevitable that scandals come, but woe to the one through whom they come."
2
It is profitable for him if a millstone is hung around his neck and he is thrown into the sea than to cause one of these little ones to stumble.
3
Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him.
4
And if he sins against you seven times in a day and returns to you seven times, saying, "I repent," you will forgive him.
5
And the apostles said to the Lord, "Add to us faith."
6
And the Lord said, "If you have faith like a grain of mustard, you would say to this sycamore tree, 'Be uprooted and planted in the sea,' and it would obey you."
7
But who among you having a slave plowing or shepherding, who will say to him when he comes in from the field, “Immediately come and recline”?
8
But will he not say to him, "Prepare what I will dine on, and having girded yourself, serve me until I eat and drink, and afterward you will eat and drink"?
9
Does he not have Grace because he has done the things that were commanded?
10
Likewise you also, when you have done all things that are commanded you, say, 'We are unworthy servants; we have done what we ought to have done.'
11
And it happened as he went to Jerusalem that he was passing through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.
12
And as he entered a certain village, ten leprous men met him, who stood at a distance.
13
And they raised their voice, saying: Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.
14
And seeing them, he said to them, "Go and show yourselves to the priests." And it happened that as they went, they were cleansed.
15
And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned with a loud voice glorifying God.
16
And he fell on his face at his feet, giving thanks to him; and he was a Samaritan.
17
And Jesus answered and said, "Were not the ten cleansed? But where are the nine?"
18
They were not found returning to give glory to God except this foreigner.
19
And he said to him, "Rise up, go; your faith has saved you."
20
And when asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God comes, he answered them and said: The kingdom of God does not come with observation,
21
Neither will they say, "Look here!" or "There!" For behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
22
And he said to the disciples, "Days will come when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man and you will not see it."
23
And they will say to you, "Look, here! Look, there!" Do not go away or pursue.
24
For just as the lightning flashing from under heaven shines to what is under heaven, so will the Son of Man be in His day.
25
First, he must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation.
26
And as it happened in the days of Noah, so it will be in the days of the Son of Man.
27
They were eating, drinking, marrying, and being given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.
28
Likewise, as it happened in the days of Lot: they were eating, drinking, buying, selling, planting, building;
29
On the day when Lot went out from Sodom, it rained fire and sulfur from heaven and destroyed all.
30
According to the same, it will be on the day when the Son of Man is revealed.
31
On that day, whoever is on the roof and his belongings in the house should not go down to take them, and likewise, whoever is in the field should not turn back to what is behind.
32
Remember Lot's wife.
33
Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses it will preserve it.
34
I tell you, in this night there will be two on one bed; one will be taken and the other will be left.
35
There will be two in truth at the same place, one will be taken and the other will be left.
36
Two
men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
37
And answering, they said to him, "Where, Lord?" But he said to them, "Wherever the body is, there also the eagles will be gathered."
