Jeremiah 32:18

who showest lovingkindness unto thousands, and recompensest the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them; the great, the mighty God (Elohim), Jehovah of hosts is his name;

You give your trustworthy love to thousands, but the consequences of your punishment of the sins of the fathers affect their children too. Great and powerful is the God (Elohim) whose name is the Lord Almighty—

You show unfailing love to thousands, but you also bring the consequences of one generation’s sin upon the next. You are the great and powerful God (Elohim), the LORD of Heaven’s Armies.<br>
