King James Version
Romans • Chapter 12
1
I urge you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God, your spiritual worship.
2
And do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
3
For I say through the Grace given to me to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned.
4
For just as we have many members in one body, and all the members do not have the same function,
5
Thus we who are many are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.
6
Having gifts according to the Grace given to us, differing, whether prophecy according to the proportion of faith,
7
whether service in the service, or the one teaching in the teaching,
8
Whether the one encouraging in encouragement, the one sharing in simplicity, the one leading in diligence, the one showing mercy in cheerfulness.
9
Love is without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good.
10
Be devoted to one another in brotherly love, honoring one another above yourselves.
11
Do not be lazy in diligence, be fervent in spirit, serving the Lord.
12
Rejoicing in hope, enduring in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer,
13
Sharing in the needs of the saints, pursuing hospitality.
14
Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.
15
To rejoice with those who rejoice, to weep with those who weep.
16
Think the same thing toward one another, not being high-minded but associating with the humble. Do not be wise in your own sight.
17
do not repay anyone evil for evil; but consider what is good in the sight of all people;
18
If possible, being at peace with all men.
19
Do not take revenge, beloved, but give place to wrath, for it is written: "Vengeance is mine; I will repay, says the Lord."
20
But if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him drink; for in doing this you will heap burning coals on his head.
21
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
