Mark Chapter 6
Mark chapter 6 begins with Jesus returning to His hometown, where many reject Him because they are too familiar with Him to believe in His authority. Jesus sends out the twelve disciples in pairs, giving them authority over unclean spirits and instructing them to preach repentance, heal the sick, and rely on God’s provision during their mission.

The chapter also recounts the death of John the Baptist at the command of Herod after the request of Herodias’s daughter. Later, Jesus miraculously feeds five thousand people with five loaves and two fish. That night, He walks upon the sea during a storm and calms the fears of His disciples. Wherever Jesus travels afterward, crowds bring the sick to Him, and many are healed.
