Jesus explains several parables privately to His disciples, emphasizing the coming separation between the righteous and the wicked at the end of the age. The chapter concludes with Jesus returning to His hometown, where many reject Him because they are too familiar with Him to believe fully. Because of their unbelief, few mighty works are done there.
