Matthew Chapter 7
Matthew chapter 7 concludes the Sermon on the Mount with Jesus teaching about judgment, discernment, prayer, and obedience. He warns against hypocritical judgment of others while ignoring one’s own faults, encouraging humility and self-examination. Jesus teaches His followers to ask, seek, and knock in faith, trusting that God gives good things to those who sincerely seek Him. He summarizes righteous living with the principle of treating others as one would desire to be treated.

Jesus also warns about false prophets who appear righteous outwardly but are known by their actions and fruit. He explains that not everyone who calls Him Lord truly belongs to the kingdom, but those who do the will of the Father. The chapter closes with the parable of the wise and foolish builders, showing that those who hear and obey His teachings are like a man who builds his house upon a rock, able to withstand storms and destruction.
