About this video
Matthew Chapter 8
Matthew chapter 8 demonstrates the authority and compassion of Jesus through a series of miracles and encounters. Jesus heals a man with leprosy, restores the servant of a Roman centurion through His word alone, and heals many others including Peter’s mother-in-law. Crowds gather as Jesus heals diseases and casts out evil spirits, fulfilling prophetic words concerning the Messiah bearing the infirmities of the people.

Jesus also teaches about the cost of discipleship, calling for wholehearted commitment from those who follow Him. During a storm on the sea, Jesus calms the wind and waves, revealing His authority over nature. Later, He encounters two demon-possessed men in the region of the Gadarenes and casts the demons into a herd of pigs. The people of the region react with fear and ask Jesus to depart from their territory.
