King James Version
Isaiah • Chapter 56
1
Thus says the LORD: Keep justice and do righteousness, for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.
2
Blessed is the person who does this, and the son of man who holds on to it, keeping the Sabbath from desecrating it and keeping his hand from doing any evil.
3
And let not the foreigner who has joined himself to the LORD say, “The LORD will surely separate me from His people,” and let not the eunuch say, “Behold, I am a dry tree.”
4
For thus says the LORD to the eunuchs who will keep My Sabbaths and choose what pleases Me and hold fast to My covenant.
5
And I will give them in my house and within my walls a name better than sons and daughters; I will give them an everlasting name that shall not be cut off.
6
And the sons of the foreigner who join themselves to the Lord to serve Him and to love the name of the Lord, to be His servants, everyone who keeps the Sabbath and does not profane it and holds fast to My covenant.
7
And I will bring them to my holy mountain, and I will make them joyful in my house of prayer; their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be accepted on my altar, for my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.
8
Thus says the Lord God: I will gather the dispersed of Israel; I will gather to him those who are gathered.
9
All the creatures of the field will come to eat all the creatures in the forest.
10
Watchmen are blind, all of them; they do not know, all of them; they are mute dogs, unable to bark; lying down, loving to slumber.
11
And the dogs are fierce in spirit; they do not know satisfaction, and they are shepherds who do not understand; each one has turned to his gain from his corner.
12
I will take wine and we will be drunk, and this will be a very great day tomorrow.
