King James Version

Mark • Chapter 3

1 And he entered again into the synagogue, and there was a man there who had a withered hand. 2 And they watched him to see if he would heal on the Sabbath, so that they might accuse him. 3 And he says to the man who has a withered hand, "Stand in the middle." 4 And he says to them, “Is it lawful to do good on the Sabbath or to do evil, to save a soul or to kill?” But they were silent. 5 And looking around at them with anger, being grieved at the hardness of their hearts, he said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored. 6 And the Pharisees went out and immediately held counsel with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him. 7 And Jesus, with his disciples, withdrew to the sea; and a great crowd from Galilee followed him, and from Judea. 8 And from Jerusalem and from Judea and beyond the Jordan and around Tyre and Sidon, a large crowd, hearing everything he was doing, came to him. 9 And he said to his disciples that a small boat should wait for him because of the crowd, so that they would not throng him. 10 For he had healed many, so that those who had plagues would fall upon him to touch him. 11 And the unclean spirits, whenever they saw him, fell down before him and cried out saying, "You are the Son of God." 12 And He reprimanded them many times so that they should not make Him known. 13 And he went up into the mountain and called to him those whom he wanted, and they came to him. 14 And he made twelve, so that they would be with him and so that he could send them to preach. 15 and to have authority to cast out demons; 16 And he made the twelve, and he gave the name Peter to Simon. 17 And James the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James (and He gave them the name Boanerges, which means Sons of Thunder), 18 And Andrew and Philip and Bartholomew and Matthew and Thomas and James the son of Alphaeus and Thaddaeus and Simon the Zealot. 19 And Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him. 20 And he comes into the house; and the crowd gathers again, so that they are not able even to eat bread. 21 And hearing, those beside him went out to seize him, for they were saying that he was beside himself. 22 And the scribes who came down from Jerusalem were saying that Beelzebul has, and that by the ruler of the demons he casts out the demons. 23 And having called them to himself in parables, he said to them: How can Satan cast out Satan? 24 And if a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. 25 And if a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand. 26 And if Satan has risen up against himself and is divided, he cannot stand, but has an end. 27 But no one can enter the strong man's house and plunder his goods unless he first binds the strong man; then indeed he may plunder his house. 28 Amen, I say to you, that all will be forgiven to the sons of men, the sins and the blasphemies as many as they may blaspheme. 29 Whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not have forgiveness forever, but is guilty of eternal sin. 30 Because they were saying: He has an unclean spirit. 31 And his mother and his brothers came, and standing outside, they sent to him, calling him. 32 And a crowd was sitting around him, and they said to him, "Behold, your mother and your brothers are outside seeking you." 33 And answering them, he says: Who is my mother or my brothers? 34 And having looked around at those sitting around Him, He says, "Behold, my mother and my brothers." 35 For whoever does the will of God, this one is my brother and sister and mother.
