1 And Joshua was old, advanced in days, and he said to me, "You have grown old, you have advanced in days, and the land remains very much yet to be possessed." 2 This is the land that remains for all the districts of the Philistines and all the Geshurites. 3 From the river of Egypt to the border of Ekron, northward, it shall be considered for the Canaanite; five lords of the Philistines: the Gazite, the Ashdodite, the Ashkelonite, the Gittite, and the Ekronite, and the Avvim. 4 From the south, all the land of the Canaanite and Me'arah, which belongs to the Sidonians, as far as Aphek, up to the border of the Amorites. 5 And the land of the Giblites and all Lebanon east of the sun from Baal Gad under Mount Hermon to the entrance of Hamath. 6 All the inhabitants of the mountain from Lebanon to Misrephoth Maim, all the Sidonians, I will drive out from before the children of Israel; only the portion to Israel I will give as an inheritance, as I commanded you. 7 And now divide this land as an inheritance for the nine tribes and the half-tribe of Manasseh. 8 And Reuben and Gad took their inheritance, which Moses gave to them on the east side of the Jordan, as Moses, the servant of the Lord, gave to them. 9 From the ruin which is on the bank of the Arnon River and the city which is within the river and all the plain from Aroer to Dibon. 10 And all the cities of Sihon, king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon up to the border of the children of Ammon. 11 And Gilead and the border of the Geshurite and the Maachathite and all the mountain of Hermon and all Bashan as far as Salcah. 12 All the kingdom of Og in Bashan, who ruled in Ashtaroth and in Edrei, he remained of the remnant of the giants, and Moses struck them and took possession. 13 And the children of Israel did not drive out the Geshurites and the Maacathites, and Geshur and Maacath dwell among Israel to this day. 14 Only to the tribe of Levi he did not give a heritage; the offerings of the LORD God of Israel are his heritage, as he spoke to him. 15 And Moses gave to the tribe of the sons of Reuben according to their families. 16 And their border was from Aroer, which is on the edge of the Arnon River, and the city that is in the midst of the river, and all the plain by Medeba. 17 Heshbon and all the cities that are in the plain, Dibon and Bamot Baal and Beth Baal Meon. 18 And he will shine and the east and from the west. 19 And the cities and the delight and the plague of the dawn in the mountain of the valley. 20 And/Beth Peor and/Ashdod of/the height and/Beit HaYeshimot. 21 And all the cities of the plain and all the kingdom of Sihon, king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon, whom Moses struck, and the chiefs of Midian, Evi and Rekem and Zur and Hur and Reba, the leaders of Sihon, who dwell in the land. 22 And the sons of Israel killed Balaam son of Beor, the sorcerer, with the sword among the slain. 23 And there was the boundary of the sons of Reuben, the Jordan, and this is the inheritance of the sons of Reuben for their clans, the cities and their villages. 24 And Moses gave to the tribe of Gad to the sons of Gad according to their families. 25 And the boundary for them was Jazar and all the cities of Gilead and half the land of the Ammonites to Aroer, which is opposite Rabbah. 26 And from Heshbon to Ramath Mitzpeh and from Betonim and from Mahanaim to the border of Dibir. 27 And in the valley of Beth Haran, and Beth Nimrah, and Succoth, and Zaphon, the remainder of the kingdom of Sihon king of Heshbon, the Jordan, and the border to the edge of the Sea of Chinnereth, east of the Jordan. 28 This is the inheritance of the descendants of Gad, according to their families, the cities and their open areas. 29 And Moses gave to half of the tribe of Manasseh, and it was for the half-tribe of the sons of Manasseh according to their families. 30 And the border of them from Mahanaim, all the Bashan, all the kingdom of Og, king of Bashan, and all the villages of Jair which are in Bashan, sixty cities. 31 And half of Gilead and the cities of Ashteroth and Edrei, which are the cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan, were for the children of Machir the son of Manasseh, for half of the children of Machir, according to their families. 32 These are the ones that Moses allocated in the plains of Moab, across from Jericho, eastward. 33 And to the tribe of Levi, Moses did not give a possession; the Lord, God of Israel, is their possession, as He spoke to them.
