Joshua • Chapter 16
1
And the lot went out for the sons of Joseph from the Jordan by Jericho to the waters of Jericho eastward; the wilderness goes up from Jericho to the mountain of Bethel.

And he left Bethel to Luz and passed over to the border of the Arkites, Atarot.

And he went down to the border of the Japhletite as far as the border of Beth-Horon the lower and to Gezer, and their outgoings were to the west.

And the sons of Joseph inherited Manasseh and Ephraim.

And the boundary of the children of Ephraim according to their families was as follows: the boundary of their inheritance on the east was Atarot Addar to upper Beth Horon.

And the border of the sea, the Mikmethath, shall go out from the north, and the border shall turn eastward to the site of Shiloh, and it shall pass over from the east to Yanachah.

And he will descend from his resting place, and he will meet in Jericho, and the Jordan will go out.
8
From the apple tree, the boundary shall go down to the river Kanah, and its outlets shall be to the sea; this is the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Ephraim for their families.
9
And the cities of the separated ones for the sons of Ephraim within the inheritance of the sons of Manasseh, all the cities and their villages.
10
And they did not drive out the Canaanite who dwelt in Gezer, and the Canaanite dwells in the midst of Ephraim until this day, and he has become a servant.
