Exodus • Chapter 35

1 And Moses assembled all the congregation of the children of Israel and said to them, These are the things which the Lord has commanded to do them. 2 For six days work may be done, but on the seventh day there shall be for you a holy Sabbath, a Sabbath of complete rest for the Lord; whoever does any work on it shall be put to death. 3 You shall not kindle a fire in all your dwelling places on the day of the Sabbath. 4 And Moses said to all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying, "This is the thing that the LORD has commanded, saying." 5 Take from yourselves a contribution to the LORD; everyone whose heart is willing shall bring the contribution of the LORD: gold, silver, and bronze. 6 and blue and purple and scarlet and fine linen and goats' hair 7 And the skins of rams dyed red, and the skins of badgers, and acacia wood. 8 And oil for the light, and spices for the anointing oil, and for the incense of the spices. 9 And stones of onyx and stones of filling for the ephod and for the breastplate. 10 And every wise-hearted man among you shall come and make all that the Lord has commanded. 11 The tabernacle, its tent, and its coverings, its beams, its bars, its pillars, and its bases. 12 The ark and the badger skins and the mercy seat and the curtain of the screen. 13 The table and its utensils and all its vessels and the showbread. 14 And the lampstand of the light and its utensils and its lamps and the oil for the light. 15 And the altar of incense, and the anointing oil, and the incense of sweet spices, and the screen for the entrance to the entrance of the tabernacle. 16 The altar of the burnt offering and the bronze basin that is for it, its stands and all its vessels, the basin and its base. 17 The frames of the courtyard and its pillars and its bases, and the screen of the gate of the courtyard. 18 The stakes of the tent and the stakes of the courtyard and their cords. 19 The garments of the priest for serving in the sanctuary, the garments of the holy for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons to serve as priests. 20 And all the congregation of the children of Israel went out from before Moses. 21 And all the men whose hearts lifted them, and all that their spirit made willing, brought the offering of the Lord for the work of the Tent of Meeting and for all its service and for the holy garments. 22 And the men came upon the women; all whose hearts were willing brought earrings and nose rings and rings and necklaces, all kinds of gold jewelry; and every man who presented an offering of gold to the Lord. 23 And every man who was found with him blue and purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen and goats' hair and the skins of rams dyed red and the skins of dolphins brought. 24 All who raise a contribution of silver and bronze brought the contribution of the Lord, and all who found acacia wood for all the work of the service brought it. 25 And every wisehearted woman brought her hands and brought the blue and the purple and the scarlet yarn and the fine linen. 26 And all the women whose hearts stirred them with wisdom spun the goats’ hair. 27 And the leaders brought the stones of onyx and the stones for the settings for the ephod and for the breastplate. 28 And the perfume and the oil for the light and for the anointing oil and for the incense of spices. 29 Every man and woman whose heart prompted them to bring for all the work that the Lord commanded to be done by the hand of Moses brought a freewill offering to the Lord. 30 And Moses said to the children of Israel, "See, the Lord has called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah." 31 And he filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all work. 32 And to think thoughts to make with gold and with silver and with bronze. 33 In the crafting of stone for filling and in the crafting of wood to do all work of thought. 34 And to instruct was given in his heart; he is Aholiab, son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan. 35 He filled them with wisdom of heart to do all types of work: a craftsman and a designer, in blue and purple and scarlet yarn, and in fine linen, and a weaver, making every kind of work and artists of designs.
