Exodus • Chapter 38

1 And he made the altar of burnt offering of acacia wood, five cubits long and five cubits wide, square, and three cubits high. 2 And I made horns on its four corners, and from it my horns were, and I overlaid it with bronze. 3 And he made all the utensils of the altar: the pots, the shovels, the basins, the forks, and the pans; all the utensils he made of bronze. 4 And he made for the altar a grate of bronze work, under its ledge, from the bottom to its middle. 5 And he poured out four bowls at the four corners for the bronze altar in the bronze houses for the fittings. 6 And he made the beams of acacia wood and overlaid them with bronze. 7 And he brought the rods in the rings upon the sides of the altar to carry it with them; hollow boards he made for it. 8 And he made the bronze basin and its bronze base from the mirrors of the servants who served at the entrance of the tent of meeting. 9 And he made the courtyard at the edge of the south of the wilderness, curtains for the courtyard, six measures one hundred by the cubit. 10 The pillars of them were twenty, and their bases were twenty brass, and the hooks of the pillars were silver. 11 And at the north side, from a hundred cubits, there were twenty pillars and their twenty bases of bronze, and the hooks of the pillars and their fillets were silver. 12 And at the edge of the sea, there were fifty woven (or embroidered) [pieces] for each [ten] cubits; their columns ten and their bases ten, and the rods of the columns and their supports were silver. 13 And at the edge of the east, fifty cubits. 14 Fifteen cubits of curtains to the shoulder of their pillars, three, and their bases, three. 15 And for the second shoulder, from here and from there to the gate of the courtyard, curtains fifteen cubits, their pillars three and their bases three. 16 All the stakes of the courtyard surrounding six cubits. 17 And the bases for the columns were bronze, and the hooks of the columns were silver, and their tops were overlaid with silver, and all the columns of the courtyard were banded with silver. 18 And the screen at the gate of the courtyard was the work of an embroiderer, blue and purple and scarlet yarn and fine woven linen; its length was twenty cubits, and its height was five cubits, according to the width of the hangings of the courtyard. 19 And their pillars are four, and their bases are four bronze, and their hooks are silver, and their tops and their bands are silver. 20 And all the pegs for the tabernacle and for the courtyard around are bronze. 21 These are the enumerations of the Tabernacle, the Tabernacle of the Testimony, which were counted at the command of Moses for the service of the Levites by the hand of Ithamar, son of Aaron the priest. 22 And Bezalel son of Uri son of Hur of the tribe of Judah did all that the LORD commanded Moses. 23 And with him Aholiab the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, a craftsman and a designer and a weaver in blue and in purple and in scarlet and in fine linen. 24 All the gold used for the work in all the work of the holy place was twenty-nine talents and seven hundred and thirty shekels in the shekel of the sanctuary. 25 And the silver of those counted from the congregation was one hundred talents and one thousand seven hundred seventy shekels in the holy shekel. 26 A half shekel shall be for the census, in the holy shekel, for all who pass over to be counted, from twenty years old and up, for six hundred and thirty-three thousand five hundred and fifty. 27 And it was one hundred talents of silver to make the bases of the holy place and the bases of the curtain, one hundred bases of one hundred talents, one talent for a base. 28 And he made the thousand and seven hundred and fifty for the pillars and covered their tops and strengthened them. 29 And the bronze of the wave offering was seventy shekels and two thousand four hundred shekels. 30 And he made for it the doorposts of the tabernacle of meeting and the bronze altar and the bronze grating that is for it and all the utensils of the altar. 31 And with the pillars of the courtyard all around, and with the pillars of the gate of the courtyard, and with all the tent pegs of the tabernacle, and with all the tent pegs of the courtyard all around.
