King James Version
Numbers • Chapter 30
1
And Moses said to the children of Israel, according to all that the Lord commanded Moses.
2
And Moses spoke to the leaders of the tribes of the children of Israel, saying, "This is the word that the LORD commanded."
3
If a man makes a vow to the Lord or swears an oath to prohibit something on his soul, he shall not break his word; he shall do according to all that comes out of his mouth.
4
And if a woman makes a vow to the Lord and binds herself by a pledge in her father's house in her youth.
5
If her father hears her vow and her obligation which she has obligated upon herself, and he is silent toward her, then all her vows shall stand, and every obligation which she has obligated upon herself shall stand.
6
And if her father forbids her on the day he hears all her vows and all her binding obligations which she has bound upon her soul, he shall not annul them, and the Lord will forgive her because her father has forbidden her.
7
And if it will be for a man, and her vows are upon her, or the utterances of her lips which she has bound upon her soul.
8
And if a man hears her vow on the day he hears it, and he remains silent about her, then her vows and her bonds that she bound upon her soul shall stand.
9
And if on the day he hears her, he shall deny her and break her vow that is upon her, and the utterance of her lips by which she bound her soul, then the LORD shall forgive her.
10
And a vow of a widow and a divorced woman, all that she has forbidden upon herself shall stand upon her.
11
And if a man’s house is a vow or a restriction upon his soul in an oath.
12
And if a man hears her and keeps silent about her, he shall not prevent her, and all her vows shall stand, and every binding oath that she has bound upon her soul shall stand.
13
And if a man breaks her vow on the day he hears all her vows that are upon her, and he does not allow her soul to be free, then her husband will not invalidate her, and the LORD will forgive her.
14
All vow and all oath of binding to afflict the soul of a man or woman, he/she shall establish it, and a man or woman shall annul it.
15
And if the deaf one shall be silent concerning her from day to day, and he shall establish all her vows or all her prohibitions which are upon her; he shall establish them because he was silent concerning her on the day of her hearing.
16
And if he breaks it, he shall bear his iniquity.
