1
The proverbs of Solomon: a wise son makes a glad father, but a foolish son is a sorrow to his mother.
2
Wealth does not profit in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death.
3
The LORD will not let the soul of the righteous go hungry, but He will thrust away the desire of the wicked.
4
The head of those who work deceitfully will become rich, and the hand of the diligent will make prosperous.
5
The wise son gathers in summer, but the son who sleeps in harvest brings shame.

Blessings are for the head of the righteous, but the mouth of the wicked will cover violence.
7
The memory of the righteous is a blessing, but the name of the wicked will rot.
8
A wise heart will take commandments, but a fool's lips will be in ruin.
9
The one who walks in integrity will walk securely, but the one who makes his ways crooked will be known.
10
A wink of the eye brings sorrow, and the foolish lips will be ruined.
11
The source of life is the mouth of the righteous, and the mouth of the wicked covers violence.
12
Hatred stirs up disputes, but love covers all offenses.
13
In the lips of the wise, wisdom is found, but a rod is for the back of one lacking sense.
14
The wise will store up knowledge, but the mouth of fools is near destruction.
15
The wealth of the rich is their fortified city; the poverty of the poor is their ruin.
16
The work of the righteous leads to life, but the yield of the wicked leads to sin.
17
The path of life keeps the discipline, but he who forsakes reproof goes astray.
18
He who hides hatred with lying lips and brings out slander is a fool.
19
In many matters, sin will not cease, and he who restrains his lips is wise.
20
Silver is chosen for the tongue of the righteous, the heart of the wicked is of little worth.
21
The lips of the righteous will guide many, but fools will die for lack of heart.
22
The blessing of the LORD makes rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.
23
Laughter is to a fool to do wickedness, but wisdom is to a man of understanding.
24
The dwelling of the wicked is ruin, but the desire of the righteous will be granted.
25
For the storm passes and there is no wicked man, but the righteous are the foundation of the world.
26
As vinegar is to the teeth and smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to those who send him.
27
The fear of the LORD prolongs days, but the years of the wicked will be shortened.
28
The expectation of the righteous is joy, but the hope of the wicked shall perish.
29
Strength for the pure path of the Lord and destruction for those who do evil.
