Proverbs • Chapter 12
1
He who loves discipline loves knowledge, but he who hates rebuke is brutish.

Good will bring forth favor from the Lord, and a man of plans will be condemned.
3
A person will not be established in wickedness, but the root of the righteous will not be moved.
4
A woman of valor is the crown of her husband, but one who brings shame is like rottenness in his bones.

The thoughts of the righteous are justice; the plans of the wicked are deceit.

The words of the wicked are a deadly ambush, but the mouth of the righteous will deliver them.
7
The wicked will be overturned, but the house of the righteous will stand.

According to his understanding, a man will be praised, but one with a perverse heart will be despised.

It is better to be lightly esteemed and have a servant than to be honored and lack bread.

The righteous knows the soul of his beast, but the mercies of the wicked are cruel.

The one who works the land will be satisfied with bread, but the one who pursues worthless things lacks sense.

The wicked desires a net of evil, but the root of the righteous will be given.

By the transgression of the lips, there is a snare of evil, but the righteous escapes from trouble.

The fruit of a man's mouth will satisfy him with good, and the work of a person's hands will return to him.

The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but he who listens to counsel is wise.

A fool is known on the day of his anger, and a clever man covers shame.

He will proclaim faithfulness; he will declare righteousness, and false witness will deceive.

There is a tongue of the wise that is healing, but the tongue of the fool is like a sword.

The lip of truth will be established forever, but a lying tongue is only for a moment.

Deceit is in the heart of those who plot evil, but to those who give advice of peace, joy.

Evil will not answer the righteous, but the wicked are filled with trouble.

The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord, but the prayer of the upright is His delight.

The man is cunning, hiding knowledge, but the heart of fools calls for foolishness.

The hand of the diligent will rule, and the lazy will be for forced labor.

Anxiety in a man's heart weighs it down, but a good word makes it glad.

The righteous is more excellent than his neighbor, but the way of the wicked leads them astray.

Do not let deceit be your hunting ground, and the wealth of a man is precious and sharpened.

In the path of righteousness is life, and in the way of its path is no death.
