King James Version
Ezekiel • Chapter 11
1
And I lifted up my spirit and brought me to the gate of the house of the Lord, which faces east, and behold at the entrance of the gate were twenty-five men, and I saw among them Jazaniah the son of Azur and Pelatiah the son of Benaiah, leaders of the people.
2
And he said to me, “Son of man, these are the men who devise iniquity and give wicked counsel in this city.”
3
Those who say, "Not near are the daughters of houses; she is the pot, and we are the flesh."
4
Therefore, prophesy against them, son of man.
5
And the Spirit of the Lord fell upon me, and He said to me, "Say: Thus says the Lord, 'So you have said, O house of Israel, and I know your thoughts.'"
6
You have increased your slain in this city and filled my streets with the slain.
7
Therefore, thus says the Lord God: Your slain whom you have placed in the midst of it, they are the flesh, and it is the pot, and you I will bring out from its midst.
8
The sword you fear, and I will bring a sword upon you, says the Lord Yahweh.
9
And I will bring you out from its midst and I will give you into the hand of strangers and I will execute judgments upon you.
10
By the sword you will fall upon the border of Israel; I will judge you, and you will know that I am the Lord.
11
It shall not be for you a meal, and you shall be in its midst like flesh to the boundary of Israel; I will judge you.
12
And you shall know that I am the LORD who has not walked in My statutes and have not done My judgments, and you have acted according to the judgments of the nations that are around you.
13
And it was when I prophesied, and Pelatiah son of Benaiah died, that I fell on my face and cried out with a loud voice and said, "Alas, Lord Yahweh, are you completely destroying the remnant of Israel?"
14
And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:
15
Son of man, your brothers, the men of your Redemption, and all the house of Israel, all of whom the inhabitants of Jerusalem said, “Stay away from the Lord; the land has been given to us as a possession.”
16
Therefore, say: Thus says my Lord YHWH: Because I have scattered them among the nations and because I have dispersed them in the countries, and I will be to them as a small sanctuary in the countries where they have come.
17
Therefore say, thus says my Lord Yahweh: I will gather you from the peoples and assemble you from the countries where you have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.
18
And they came there and removed all her abominations and all her detestable things from her.
19
And I will give them one heart and will put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from their flesh and give them a heart of flesh.
20
In order that they may walk in My statutes and keep My judgments and do them, and they shall be for Me a people, and I will be for them a God.
21
And I gave their abominations and their idols into their hearts to walk in their ways; thus says the Lord God.
22
And the cherubim lifted their wings and the wheels beside them, and the glory of the God of Israel was above them.
23
And the glory of the Lord ascended from within the city and stood on the mountain which was east of the city.
24
And the Spirit lifted me up and brought me to Chaldea, to the exiles, in the vision of the Spirit of God, and the vision that I had seen went up from me.
25
And I spoke to the exiles all the words of the Lord that He had shown me.
