Ezekiel • Chapter 48

1 And these are the names of the tribes from the northern border to the way of Hethlon, to come to Hamath, the border of Damascus to the north, to the side of Hamath; and it shall be for him the eastern side of the sea, one Dan. 2 And on the border of Dan, from the eastern edge to the western edge, which is one. 3 And on the boundary of Asher, from the eastern side to the western side, Naphtali is one. 4 And on the border of Naphtali from the east side to the west side, Manasseh, one. 5 And on the border of Manasseh from the eastern edge to the western edge of Ephraim, one. 6 And on the border of Ephraim, from the east side to the west side, Reuben, one. 7 And on the border of Reuben from the edge of the east to the edge of the west, Judah one. 8 And on the border of Judah, from the edge of the east to the edge of the west, there shall be the offering that you shall raise, twenty-five thousand in breadth and in length as one of the sections from the edge of the east to the edge of the west, and the sanctuary shall be in its midst. 9 The offering that you will lift to the Lord is twenty-five thousand in length and ten thousand in width. 10 And this shall be the offering of the holy thing for the priests: toward the north, twenty-five thousand; and toward the west, ten thousand in width; and toward the east, ten thousand in width; and toward the south, the length shall be twenty-five thousand; and the sanctuary of the LORD shall be in its midst. 11 To the priests, the consecrated ones of the sons of Zadok, who kept my charge, and did not go astray like the children of Israel went astray, as the Levites did. 12 And it shall be for them a contribution from the contribution of the land, holy of holies, to the border of the Levites. 13 And the Levites, opposite the boundary of the priests, were twenty-five thousand in length and ten thousand in width; all the length was twenty-five thousand and the width was ten thousand. 14 And they shall not sell from us, and they shall not exchange, and no one shall transfer the firstfruits of the land, for it is holy to the Lord. 15 And five thousand that remain in the open space before the city for a dwelling place and for a pasture, and the city shall be in the midst of it. 16 And these are the measurements of the northern side: five hundred and four thousand; and the southern side: five hundred and four thousand; and from the eastern side: five hundred and four thousand; and the western side: five hundred and four thousand. 17 And the area for the city to the north shall be five hundred and to the south five hundred, and to the east five hundred and to the west five hundred. 18 And what remains in length for the offering of the holy is ten thousand to the east and ten thousand to the west, and it shall be for the offering of the holy, and its produce shall be for bread for the workers of the city. 19 And the servant of the city shall serve him from all the tribes of Israel. 20 All the offering of twenty-five thousand in the twenty-five thousand you shall set apart as a contribution for the holy offering to the inheritance of the city. 21 And the remainder for the prince from this and from that shall be for the offering of the sanctuary and for the possession of the city, facing five and twenty thousand, an offering up to the eastern border and westward on the face of five and twenty thousand on the border westward, opposite the portions for the prince, and the offering of the sanctuary and the temple of the house shall be in its midst. 22 And from the possession of the Levites and from the possession of the city in the midst which belongs to the prince, it shall be between the border of Judah and between the border of Benjamin, it shall be for the prince. 23 And the rest of the tribes from the eastern edge to the western edge, one Benjamin. 24 And on the boundary of Benjamin, from the edge of the east to the edge of the west, one Simeon. 25 And on the border of Simeon, from the eastern edge to the western edge, is Issachar, one. 26 And on the border of Issachar, from the eastern edge to the western edge of Zebulun, one. 27 And on the border of Zebulun from the east edge to the west edge, one Gad. 28 And on the border of Gad, to the edge of the south, Teman, and the border from Tamar to the waters of Meribath Kadesh, a possession by the great sea. 29 This is the land that you shall divide as an inheritance to the tribes of Israel, and these are their allocations, declares the Lord God. 30 And these are the exits of the city from the northern corner, five hundred and four thousand cubits. 31 And the gates of the city by the names of the tribes of Israel: three gates to the north, one gate for Reuben, one gate for Judah, one gate for Levi. 32 And at the eastern edge, five hundred and four thousand, and three gates: one gate of Joseph, one gate of Benjamin, one gate of Dan. 33 And the southern edge is five hundred and four thousand by measurement, and three gates: one gate for Simeon, one gate for Issachar, one gate for Zebulun. 34 The western edge is five hundred and four thousand of their gates; three gates, one great gate, one gate of Asher, one gate of Naphtali. 35 Around eighteen thousand, and the name of the city from the day of the Lord is there.
