King James Version
Ezekiel • Chapter 6
1
And the word of the LORD came to me, saying.
2
Son of man, set your face toward the mountains of Israel and prophesy against them.
3
And you shall say, "Hear, O Israel, the word of the Lord: Thus says the Lord to the mountains and to the hills, to the valleys and to the ravines, 'Behold, I am bringing a sword upon you, and I will destroy your high places.'"
4
And we will destroy your altars, and we will break your columns, and I will cast your slain before your idols.
5
And I will give the carcasses of the children of Israel before their idols, and I will scatter your bones around your altars.
6
In all your dwellings, the cities shall be laid waste, and the high places shall be desolate, so that they may be laid waste, and your altars may be laid waste, and your images shall be broken, and your sun pillars shall be cut down, and your works shall be wiped out.
7
And a slain one will fall in your midst, and you will know that I am the Lord.
8
And I will spare you to be survivors of the sword among the nations when I scatter you in the countries.
9
And the survivors will remember you among the nations where they were exiled, where I broke their unfaithful heart that turned away from me and their unfaithful eyes after their idols, and they will bear their shame for all the evils that they did with all their abominations.
10
And they shall know that I am the Lord; I did not speak in vain to bring upon them this evil.
11
Thus says the Lord Yahweh: Strike with your palm and stomp your feet and say, "Alas!" for all the abominations of the evil house of Israel that will fall by the sword, famine, and pestilence.
12
The distant will die by the plague, and the near will fall by the sword; and the remnant and the preserved will die by hunger, and I will complete my wrath upon them.
13
And you shall know that I am the LORD when their slain are in the midst of their idols around their altars, on every high hill and under every leafy tree and under every thick oak, the place where they offered a pleasing aroma to all their idols.
14
And I will stretch out my hand against them, and I will make the land desolate and waste, from the wilderness of Diblath to all their dwellings, and they will know that I am the Lord.
