King James Version

Ezekiel • Chapter 39

1 And you, son of man, prophesy against Gog and say, Thus says Lord Yahweh, Behold, I am against you, Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. 2 And I will bring you back, and I will gather you, and I will raise you up from the corners of the north, and I will bring you to the mountains of Israel. 3 And I will strike your bow from your left hand and your arrows from your right hand I will cast away. 4 Upon the mountains of Israel you shall fall, and all your wings, and the peoples that are with you, to the fowl of every wing and the beast of the field, I have given you for food. 5 On the face of the field you shall fall, for I have spoken, says my Lord, Yahweh. 6 And I will send fire on Magog and on the inhabitants of the coastlands securely, and they shall know that I am the Lord. 7 And I will make known my holy name among my people Israel, and I will not let my holy name be profaned anymore, and the nations will know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel. 8 Behold, the word of the Lord has come, it is the day that I spoke. 9 And the inhabitants of the cities of Israel went out and burned with fire, and they struck with a weapon and a shield, and with a bow and arrows, and with a hand staff and with a spear, and they burned them with fire for seven years. 10 And they will not carry trees from the field, and they will not cut down from the forests, for by fire they will burn, and they will plunder their plunder, and they will take the spoils of their spoils, declares my Lord Yahweh. 11 And it will be in that day, I will give to Gog a place there for a grave in Israel, the valley of those who pass by east of the sea; and it will block those who pass by, and they will bury Gog there and all his multitude, and they will call it the valley of the multitude of Gog. 12 And bury them in the house of Israel in order to cleanse the land for seven months. 13 And all the people of the land will bury them, and it will be to them for a name, the day of my being honored, declares the Lord YHWH. 14 And the men of the regular service shall separate the unclean in the land; they shall bury the unclean ones and the leftovers on the surface of the land to purify it from the end of seven weeks they shall search. 15 And the passersby crossed the land and saw a human bone and built a sign beside it until the burying ones buried him in the valley of the multitude of Gog. 16 And also the name of the city is a multitude, and you shall purify the land. 17 And you, son of man, thus says Lord Yahweh: Say to every bird of the air and to all the living creatures of the field: Gather and come, assemble from all around for my sacrifice that I am sacrificing for you, a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, and you shall eat flesh and drink blood. 18 You shall eat the flesh of mighty ones and drink the blood of princes of the earth; mighty rams and fat bulls, all of them are from Bashan. 19 And you shall eat fat until you are full and drink blood for drunkenness from the sacrifices which I have offered to you. 20 And you shall be satisfied at my table with horses and mighty men, every man of war, says the Lord Yahweh. 21 And I will give my glory among the nations, and all the nations will see my judgments that I have made and my hand that I have laid upon them. 22 And the house of Israel shall know that I am the LORD their God from that day and onward. 23 And the nations shall know that because of their iniquity the house of Israel was exiled, because they rebelled against me and hid their faces from me; therefore, I gave them into the hand of their enemies, and they fell by the sword, all of them. 24 Because of their impurity and their transgressions, I have done to them, and I will hide my face from them. 25 Therefore, thus says my Lord Yahweh: Now I will restore the fortunes of Jacob and have compassion on all the house of Israel, and I will be zealous for my holy name. 26 And they shall bear their shame and all their transgressions that they committed against Me when they sat securely on their land, and there is no one to make them afraid. 27 When I bring them back from the peoples and gather them from the lands of their enemies, I will be sanctified in them before the eyes of many nations. 28 And they will know that I am the Lord their God when I have exiled them among the nations and gathered them back to their land, and I will no longer leave any of them there. 29 And I will not hide my face from them anymore, for I have poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel, says the Lord God.
