King James Version

Psalms • Chapter 104

1 Bless my soul, O Lord; O Lord my God, you have greatly magnified; you are clothed with glory and splendor. 2 He covers himself with light like a garment; he spreads out the heavens like a curtain. 3 The one who makes his dwelling in the waters, who rides on the clouds, who walks on the wings of the wind. 4 He makes His angels spirits, His ministers a flame of fire. 5 He founded the earth on its foundations; it will not be moved forever and ever. 6 The deep is like a garment; the waters will stand above the mountains. 7 From your rebuke they will flee, from the sound of your thunder they will hasten away. 8 The mountains will rise, the valleys will sink to the place that You have founded for them. 9 The boundary You have set shall not pass over, nor shall they return to cover the earth. 10 The one who sends forth springs in the valleys; between the mountains they will walk. 11 All the beasts of the field shall drink, wild donkeys shall quench their thirst. 12 Above them, the birds of the heavens dwell; between the wings they give voice. 13 The mountains drink from your heights, and the earth is satisfied with the fruit of your works. 14 He causes grass to grow for the cattle and herb for the service of man, to bring forth food from the earth. 15 And wine will make glad the heart of man; to make his face shine from oil, and bread will strengthen the heart of man. 16 The trees of the Lord are satisfied, the cedars of Lebanon which He planted. 17 Where there are birds nesting, the stork in the trees of her house. 18 The high mountains are a refuge for the hyraxes. 19 He made the moon for appointed times; the sun knows its setting. 20 You set darkness, and there was night, in it all the beasts of the forest creep. 21 The young lions roar for prey and seek their food from God. 22 The sun will rise, and they will gather to their resting places. 23 A man will go out to his work and to his service until evening. 24 How great are your works, O Yahweh! All of them you have made in wisdom; the earth is full of your possessions. 25 This is the great and wide sea; there are creatures and there is no number, small animals with large. 26 There the ships go, Leviathan, which you formed to play with. 27 All of them will be broken to give food in its time. 28 You will give to them, they will gather; you will open your hand, they will be satisfied with good. 29 You will hide your face; they will be troubled; their spirit will expire, and they will return to dust. 30 You will send forth your spirit; they will be created, and you will renew the face of the ground. 31 Let the glory of the LORD be forever; may the LORD rejoice in His works. 32 He who looks at the earth and it trembles, touches the mountains and they smoke. 33 I will sing to the LORD while I live; I will make music to my God while I have my being. 34 I will rejoice in the Lord. 35 Let sinners cease from the earth, and the wicked be no more. Praise the Lord, my soul.
