King James Version

Psalms • Chapter 5

1 For the conductor, a song for David to be sung to the melodies. 2 I have said, "Listen, O Lord, consider my meditation." 3 Hear my voice, O Lord, my King and my God, for to You I will pray. 4 O Lord, in the morning you will hear my voice; in the morning I will prepare for you and wait. 5 For You are not a God who delights in wickedness; evil will not dwell with You. 6 Let not the boastful stand before Your eyes; You hate all workers of iniquity. 7 The Lord will destroy the speakers of lies; a man of blood and deceit He will detest. 8 And I, in the abundance of your mercy, will come into your house; I will bow down toward your holy temple in awe of you. 9 O Lord, lead me in Your righteousness for the sake of my oppressors; make Your way straight before me. 10 For there is no uprightness in their mouth; their inner part is like an open grave; their tongues they flatter. 11 God will cast them down from their plans because of the great sins they have committed, for they have rebelled against you. 12 And all who take refuge in You shall rejoice forever; You shall shelter them, and those who love Your name shall exult in You.
