Psalms • Chapter 62

1 For the chief musician, to the tune of the Yeduthun. A psalm of David. 2 Surely my soul waits in silence for God; from Him comes my salvation. 3 But He is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I will not be moved. 4 How long will you keep chasing a man to murder him, all of you, like a bent wall, a damaged fence? 5 Only by their deceit will they be led astray; they will bless with their mouth, but in their midst they will curse. Selah. 6 Surely, for God alone my soul waits in silence; from Him comes my hope. 7 But He is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold; I will not be moved. 8 On God, my salvation; and my glory, the rock of my strength and my refuge, is in God. 9 Trust in Him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah. 10 Surely, the sons of man are a lie; the sons of men are a deceit in the scales; they are lighter than vanity together. 11 Do not trust in oppression and do not be vain in robbery; if wealth increases, do not set your heart on it. 12 God has spoken once; twice have I heard this: that strength belongs to God.
