King James Version

Psalms • Chapter 45

1 To the chief musician, upon the lilies, for the sons of Korah, a skillful song, a song of loves. 2 My heart has stirred within me; I say, "I will make a good word for the king; my tongue is the pen of a skilled scribe." 3 You have beautified me among the sons of man; Grace was poured upon your lips. Therefore, God has blessed you forever. 4 Buckle your sword on your thigh, mighty one, your glory and your splendor. 5 And your glory will be the beauty of riding on truth, and humility, righteousness, and your miracles are awesome in your right hand. 6 Your sharpened arrows, O king, shall fall upon the hearts of your enemies. 7 Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; the scepter of righteousness is the scepter of your kingdom. 8 You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness more than your companions. 9 Bitter and tents of small edges, all your garments from the halls of the tooth, from my joy. 10 Daughters of kings are among your honored ones; the queen stands at your right in gold from Ophir. 11 Listen, O daughter, and see, and incline your ear, and forget your people and your father's house. 12 And the king will desire your beauty, for he is your master; and you shall bow to him. 13 And the daughter of Tzor will wait for you with a gift, the wealthy of the people. 14 All the glory of the king's daughter is within; she is clothed with woven gold. 15 For the woven garments of Tubal for the king’s virgins after your friends who are brought to you. 16 They will come in joy and gladness to the palace of the king. 17 Under your fathers, your sons will be set as princes throughout all the land.
