King James Version

Psalms • Chapter 64

1 For the Conductor, a Psalm of David. 2 Hear, O God, my voice in my prayer; from fear of the enemy, protect my life. 3 "Do not hide me from the secret of evil-doers, from the tumult of workers of iniquity." 4 Which we have sharpened like a sword, our tongues have spoken deceitfully; our words are like arrows, bitter. 5 To shoot in the hiding places, suddenly He will shoot, and they will not be afraid. 6 They will strengthen for him a bad thing; they will tell hidden snares, saying, "Who will see us?" 7 They will search for offerings; the desire is searched for, and in the heart of a man and a deep heart. 8 And God sent arrows of sudden blows. 9 And they will stumble upon him; by their tongue all who see him will shake. 10 And all the people feared, and they declared the work of God, and they understood His deed.
