King James Version

Psalms • Chapter 63

1 A psalm of David when he was in the wilderness of Judah. 2 God, my God, I seek You; my soul thirsts for You; my flesh longs for You in a dry and weary land where there is no water. 3 Thus in the holy place I have seen your strength and your glory. 4 For your lovingkindness is better than life; my lips will praise you. 5 So I will bless you while I live; in your name I will lift up my hands. 6 Like fat and abundance, my soul will be satisfied, and my mouth will praise you with joyful lips. 7 If I remember you upon my bed, I will meditate on you in the watches of the night. 8 For you have been my help, and in the shadow of your wings I will sing for joy. 9 My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me. 10 And they will seek my soul for destruction; they will come to the depths of the earth. 11 They will be slain by the sword; the slaughter of foxes will be.
