King James Version

Psalms • Chapter 94

1 God of vengeance, the Lord; God of vengeance, show yourself. 2 The judge of the earth will take away retribution from the proud. 3 How long, O Lord, will the wicked, how long will the wicked exult? 4 Let them declare, let them speak; at once they will be confirmed, all who do evil. 5 Your people, O Lord, will be oppressed, and your inheritance will be afflicted. 6 The widow and the stranger they will kill, and orphans they will slay. 7 And they said, "The Lord will not see, and the God of Jacob will not understand." 8 Understand, you brutish ones among the people; and you fools, when will you be wise? 9 Does he who planted the ear not hear? Or he who formed the eye not see? 10 Does not the teacher correct nations? Does not a man give knowledge? 11 The Lord knows the thoughts of man, that they are vanity. 12 Blessed is the man whom you discipline, Yah, and whom you teach from your law. 13 To give him rest from days of evil until the wicked is broken. 14 For the LORD will not forsake His people, nor will He abandon His inheritance. 15 For justice will return to righteousness, and after it all the upright of heart. 16 Who will stand with me against evildoers? Who will take his stand with me against workers of iniquity? 17 If not for the Lord who helped me, my soul would soon dwell in silence. 18 If I said, "My foot slips," Your mercy, O Lord, will support me. 19 In the abundance of Your comforts, my soul is made joyful. 20 Your throne connects with the void; the creator of toil is above the decree. 21 They will conspire against the soul of the righteous and condemn the innocent blood. 22 And the LORD was to me a refuge, and my God a rock of my protection. 23 And He will sit over them in their misery; the LORD our God will destroy them.
