King James Version

Psalms • Chapter 57

1 For the choirmaster; do not destroy. A song of David, when he fled from Saul in the cave. 2 Be gracious to me, O God, be gracious to me; for in You my soul takes refuge, and in the shadow of Your wings I will take refuge until the storms pass by. 3 I will call to God Most High, to God who fulfills for me. 4 He will send from heaven and save me; he will put to shame the one who tramples on me; Selah. God will send forth his lovingkindness and his truth. 5 I will lie among the flames of men, their swords, spears, and sharp tongues. 6 Your majesty is above the heavens, O God, your glory is above all the earth. 7 We have prepared a net for my feet; my soul is bowed down; they have fallen within her. Selah. 8 My heart is steadfast, O God; I will sing and make music. 9 Awake, my glory; awake, harp and lyre; I will awaken the dawn. 10 I will praise you, O Lord, among the nations; I will sing your praise among the peoples. 11 For your mercy is great above the heavens, and your truth reaches to the skies.
