King James Version

Psalms • Chapter 116

1 I loved because the LORD hears my voice of my supplications. 2 For He inclined His ear to me, and in my days I will call. 3 The cords of death encircled me, and the straits of Sheol found me; distress and sorrow came upon me. 4 In the name of the LORD, I call; please, O LORD, save my soul. 5 The Lord is gracious and righteous; our God is merciful. 6 The Lord protects the simple; I was brought low, and He saved me. 7 Return, my soul, to your rest, for the LORD has dealt bountifully with you. 8 For you have saved my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling. 9 I will walk before the Lord in the lands of the living. 10 I believed that I would speak; I am very much afflicted. 11 I said in my haste, "All mankind is a liar." 12 What shall I return to the Lord for all His benefits toward me? 13 I will lift up the cup of salvation and in the name of the LORD I will call. 14 I will fulfill my vow to the LORD; I will pay my offerings in the presence of all His people. 15 Precious in the eyes of the Lord is the death of His saints. 16 O Lord, for I am Your servant; I am Your servant, the son of Your maidservant; You have loosened my bonds. 17 To you, I will offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving, and in the name of the Lord, I will call. 18 I will pay my vows to the Lord, I will render thank offerings before all His people. 19 In the courts of the house of the Lord, in the midst of Jerusalem, praise Yah.
